Good To Know

How many standing sets does Digital Canaries have?

35+ dressed standing sets across six Stacks — courtroom, police bullpen, interrogation rooms, prison cells, operating rooms, hospital ward, emergency room, morgue, airplane cabin, business jet, train, elevator, loft, apartment, café and bar, classroom, boardroom, offices, bookcase stage, basement and a controlled exterior. Each set has its own page.

Can I book a standing set for a single day?

Yes — every set is bookable by the day, week or run. Most productions scout and book the same day, then shoot on the next available days that suit them; shooting Monday to Sunday is available, subject to availability. Send your dates and we hold the space.

Are the sets dressed, or bare rooms?

Dressed and camera-ready — a production books the room, not the build. All sets are dressed as shown, with dressing changes available, and our own carpenters and art department can dress or modify a set to spec.

What is included with a set booking?

Standard studio access includes the standing sets, power, basic lighting grid, green rooms, parking and Wi-Fi. Additional equipment and crew can be arranged separately.

Where can I find dimensions and floor plans?

Each set page lists floor area, ceiling height, doorway width and power where they have been measured, plus a floor-plan PDF where one exists. For anything not listed yet, ask on the scout.

Can several sets be booked for one production?

Yes. Many productions book several sets at once, and the sets grouped in a Stack are chosen to be shot as a sequence. We will work with you to create a package that fits your shooting schedule.

Do you work with Toronto productions?

Yes. Digital Canaries is in Hamilton, Ontario, about an hour by road from Toronto, and works with film, television and commercial productions from Toronto, the GTA and across Ontario. The 243 Queen Street flagship has production basecamp, crew parking and cast and crew holding on site.
