Cabin in the Woods
A small timber cabin with a covered porch against the tree line, beside a stone retaining wall — a build in the tree-line yard.
Cabin in the Woods is a proposed exterior location setting at Digital Canaries, an independent film studio in Hamilton, Ontario, about an hour from Toronto. It is a build: the tree-line yard exists on one of our lots today (photographed below) and the structure would be constructed in it for a production. The rendering shows the result; nothing in it is built yet.
A weathered timber cabin: board siding, a shingled roof, a covered porch with two posts and a step, a plank door between two small windows, potted plants on the porch, set against trees with a stone retaining wall and a gravel yard in front. Unlike the other settings this one is a build, not a redress: the yard exists, the cabin does not.
The base: A gravel yard against the tree line with low concrete retaining walls — the cabin itself is a build, placed in this yard.
Signage, graphics and dressing shown are placeholders and change per production. The controlled exterior at 190 Britannia is the one exterior standing set shootable today; everything on this page is proposed.
